Friday Play Morning

The Family Center is open to young children and their caregivers on Friday mornings to play together in our fun and educational play space. Young children have a chance to experience toys and activities that promote readiness for school success.

Hours: 9:30 am – 1:00 pm, Fridays

$5 per family, per visit

Children’s Circle / Circulo de Niños Preschool

Our morning preschool provides 3 and 4 year-olds with appropriate experiences, supports their development, and prepares them for success in school. Our ratio is two teachers (and one assistant) for 15 children. In addition to a stimulating environment, we celebrate the diversity of our children’s families by having bilingual teachers and employ a variety of literacy activities for both English-speaking children and children for whom English is not their home language.

Days / Hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. 9 am -12 pm. Year-round.

Enrollment is based on availability.

Escuela de Familia / Family School

This Family Literacy Program is based upon current research promoting literacy skills comprehensively. It addresses the needs of Hispanic/Latino families by simultaneously offering ESL classes for caregivers (Clases de Ingles) and school readiness for their children at the preschool (Circulo de Niños Prescolar).

Circle of Parents / Circulo de Madres

Three times a week, a group of Latino mothers meet using a national peer-support family support model developed by the national organization, Circle of Parents. This community-building program gives mothers an opportunity to support each other about issues that are important to them. Resources are made available as needed by a trained facilitator.

Resource Library and Classes / Tenemos Libreria

Our extensive library includes information about and access to community resources for parents and families. We have videos, parenting and child development resources, and offer classes on early brain development and child behavior and temperament.

Parents' Morning Out (PMO) Program

This flexible program will occur on Thursday mornings (9am - 12pm), and is designed to give parents a few hours without their little one(s). The PMO will be open to 3 - 5 year olds, and will cost $15 per child, per Thursday. Reservations must be made no later than the previous day (Wednesday).
